Fifth and Sixth Class Pupils visit Council Offices

04/02/2018

On Tuesday, the 30th of January pupils from fifth and sixth class visited the Mayor of Clare at the council chambers. We were greeted on arrival by the current mayor Tom McNamara. Pupils learned about the working of the council and all it does to provide services in the county. We met with other members of the council and some of our pupils got to wear the mayoral chain and ring the bell in the council chamber. Afterwards we were treated to a lovely lunch and each pupil received a goody bag compliments of the council.

We had a great day and we would like to sincerely thank Tom Mc Namara for his kind invitation and for all the work his team put into ensuring that our visit was such a memorable one.
